All staff who we provide to complete the works have the relevant DNO authorisations to give you piece of mind that they are fully aware of the risks associated with a live substation. From working party members to document holders our staff can cover all authorisation requirements for the works we carry out.
As well as authorisations, staff are trained to nationally recognised plant courses in NPORS and/or CPCS accreditation. Built upon extensive health, safety and environmental training. Our staff are fully aware of the risk involved with this type of work.
Dismantling
We use our knowledge, experience, skills and extensive specialised equipment to safely and efficiently dismantle and remove heavy electrical units.
We can remove and dispose of all hazardous waste associated with these items of plant. We have the experience and technical knowledge to remove wastes such as PCB contaminated oils or SF6 gas.
Our permitted site also us to provide our clients the space to perform forensic analysis of the equipment without the pressure of outages on risks on site.
Demolition
In substation buildings and reinforced concrete structures, we use our knowledge, experience, skills and extensive specialised equipment to safely and efficiently demolish these, whatever the shape and size.
Where required we break out and grub up foundations in preparation for new civil works by others or to leave the site in an environmentally sound condition. This includes work alongside live circuits with the controls to ensure complete safety.
We also undertake specialist demolition in sensitive areas of above ground and below ground structures including diamond wire sawing and diamond drilling.
